In September 2013 DocLogix completed yet another unique project – document management system was installed in the group of aviation companies Avia Solutions Group. The Single system will be used in 20 companies involved in different activities.
“We chose DocLogix, because it is a complete solution, which is being developed for many years already and is constantly improved. It is important for our group to have a unified document management system for all our companies and to pay a reasonable price for it. Much attention was paid to flexibility and possibility to create automatic task sequences, because our group is dynamic and fast growing, thus it is important for us to modify the system according to our needs and to optimize business processes. We are a very demanding client and I’m glad that we worked with DocLogix as partners. I believe that both companies will benefit from mutual co-operation,” said Edmundas Vasonskis IT Manager at Avia Solutions Group.
Before installing DocLogix company was using open source document management system, but it did not meet the needs of the group. The main disadvantages were that the system did not have all the necessary features, and the development of it was complicated and very expensive. After analyzing products in the market DocLogix system has been chosen.
During the project DocLogix was installed as a platform for standard document and task management functions. For the specific company needs a number of processes were configured such as employee introduction to work procedures, invoice registration and approval, recruitment paperwork management, leave application and approval, preparation of contracts from the templates.
According to DocLogix project manager Sigitas Lukoševičius, new system will improve communication and exchange of documents between different companies within the group, increase productivity and ensure more effective control. Process automation will save not only time, but also costs related to document management.
The system is used by more than 20 group companies. The total number of users reaches 800. It is planned that over one year the system will process more than 50000 documents.
